My gymnastics journey started when I was three. I was always climbing on everything and doing flips off my grandma, but growing up, I only wanted to stick with gymnastics if my friends were doing it too. That changed around eight years old, when a coach noticed me at a birthday party and asked to speak with my parents about trying out for competitive gymnastics. Once I joined a team, I discovered the camaraderie I had been searching for, and I completely fell in love with the sport. I loved (and still love) the rush of learning a new skill through individualized gymnastics training and the feeling of finally achieving something I had worked so hard for. Later on, I even explored mobile gymnastics coaching to enhance my skills and considered private gymnastics lessons to take my training to the next level.
Even as a gymnast, I was always eager to learn more. I would go to the park on my own, watch YouTube videos, and practice skills over and over until I perfected them. As I matured, that passion for learning naturally transitioned into a love for coaching, where I now specialize in individualized gymnastics training. One of my favorite aspects of coaching is discovering what helps each gymnast finally grasp a skill and witnessing that same excitement I felt growing up resonate with them. I even still practice gymnastics myself because I never want to forget what it feels like to be the gymnast learning a skill—not just the coach teaching it. Additionally, with the rise of mobile gymnastics coaching, I can connect with athletes through online platforms, offering private gymnastics lessons that cater to their unique needs.
Zuzu comes from my middle name, Arezou, which means “wish” in Farsi. I’ve always wished to build something of my own that combined gymnastics and working with kids. After years of coaching, I began to realize the significant impact that individualized gymnastics training can make, especially as every gymnast learns and builds confidence differently. I wanted to create a mobile gymnastics coaching experience that felt more personal, encouraging, and focused on each gymnast. Zuzu represents my way of transforming a passion I’ve cherished since childhood into private gymnastics lessons that I can continually grow and share with other gymnasts.
